Our Story
We Love Seasons is inspired by my Danish family traditions and a lifelong love of timeless design, seasonal living and the meaningful moments shared throughout the year.
As a child growing up in Denmark, one of my favourite moments was opening the seasonal decoration boxes that had been carefully stored away since the previous year. Inside were handmade decorations made by my mother, together with the same Christmas baubles, flags and paper drums that my father had decorated the tree with as a child and that are still used by our family today. Year after year, these treasured decorations are brought out and displayed alongside a few thoughtfully chosen new additions, creating a collection that grows with each season while keeping traditions alive.
The treasured decorations and traditions I grew up with taught me the value of choosing timeless pieces that can be enjoyed for many years. Frustrated by the increasingly throwaway culture surrounding seasonal decorations and home décor, I founded We Love Seasons to create thoughtfully curated collections of timeless products that become part of family traditions rather than being replaced each season.
Today, that philosophy continues to shape every collection we create. We carefully curate products with character, craftsmanship and a story, helping our customers build collections that they will treasure, enjoy using and proudly share with family and friends for many years to come.
I grew up in a creative home where making, growing and creating were part of everyday life. My mother could often be found in the vegetable garden, knitting, painting or working at her sewing machine. Having learned to make clothes from her grandmother at the age of 14, she spent decades creating handmade clothes for my sister and me. My father was equally skilled at DIY, and together they were always working on projects around the home and garden, or making cordials, jams and pickles using produce grown in the garden.
Those experiences taught me that the objects we choose for our homes should have meaning. They should be made with care, enjoyed for many years and become part of the memories we create with the people we love. That belief remains at the heart of We Love Seasons today and continues to inspire every collection we curate and every customer experience we create.
Towards the middle of November, my mother would begin preparing our home for Christmas, bringing out the decoration boxes that had been carefully stored away since the previous year. Red felt hearts hung by the entrance, alongside hand-painted figurines and handmade decorations created from stones dressed with knitted scarves and hats.
Each year, she added a few carefully chosen new decorations, made fresh pine garlands for the dining room doors, created the traditional Advent wreath and prepared the Advent candle decoration. The final and most important part was, of course, the Christmas tree, decorated by my father with traditional red baubles, lights, paper drums, Danish flags and delicate strands of gold lametta.
At Easter, the table was beautifully styled with yellow crocheted napkins, wooden Easter chicks and homemade Danish dishes shared with family and friends. Branches from the garden were placed in vases and decorated with hand-painted eggs to create the traditional Danish Easter tree.
Looking back, it wasn't simply the decorations that made these moments so special. It was the traditions, the craftsmanship and the memories created around them. Every year, a few carefully chosen additions became part of a collection that grew naturally over time.
Those experiences continue to inspire We Love Seasons today. Inspired by nature, Scandinavian design and the changing seasons, we thoughtfully curate seasonal decorations and home décor that help customers create beautiful homes throughout the year. We believe in choosing timeless pieces, building collections gradually and surrounding ourselves with products that are loved, used and kept for many years.
It is my hope that one day our products become part of the seasonal decoration boxes that are carefully stored away year after year and brought out again as each new season arrives - treasured pieces that carry with them the stories, traditions and memories of family life for generations to come.
